About The Project
As the University of North Dakota (UND) continues to grow and evolve, it has undertaken a significant transformation of its East Campus. Initial developments included the Fritz Pollard Athletic Complex, the Hyslop at Memorial Village, and Albrecht Field, the new home of UND women’s softball. Additional developments included the Nodak Insurance Company Sports Performance Center, updated outdoor track and field, the Energy & Environmental Research Center Advanced Material Processing Building (EERC AMP), the Fieldhouse at Memorial Village, and associated infrastructure upgrades, including water, wastewater, stormwater, streets, steam, fiber optics, and other utilities.
As part of this redevelopment, a new regional dry detention pond was constructed east of the existing Fritz Pollard Center. Burian & Associates completed the stormwater master planning for the UND East Campus and designed the UND East Campus Regional Pond. Additionally, Burian & Associates provided support to UND with bidding and construction administration services to ensure the successful execution of the project.
