  • About The Project

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) retained Burian & Associates for a fast-track design of a site expansion for its campground, incorporating features that align closely with subdivision development principles. Prompted by the jump in activity during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project included 50 additional recreational vehicle (RV) sites, realigned roadways, and enhanced access driveways to better support the growing campground. Each site included increased electrical service, potable water, and sanitation hook ups. B&A worked closely with the owner to evaluate the site, complete detailed site and utility designs, and implement stormwater management improvements for the expanded and existing areas.

A comprehensive topographic survey of the property was conducted to map all above ground and subsurface features and establish accurate ground elevations critical for the subdivision layout and design. Using property information and historical construction data, B&A developed a precise existing condition plan to support the creation of construction documents.

Following the project’s design and bidding phases, B&A provided construction staking services for key subdivision infrastructure components, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, flood control structures, water mains and services, roadways, driveways, and individual RV sites.
